Hi - my name is Brad Muise and I have been kitesurfing for six years. I am a part-time instructor here in the Great Lakes region of Geneva, N.Y. I received my IKO Level I Certification (ID# 10165-12361) from the Kite Center in Long Island, NY. I also hold a doctoral degree in environmental health. I tend to be a tinkerer and I am currently involved in engineering kite safety systems such as an unassisted launch device (see link above) and remote ejection systems for instructors. When I was younger I lived in Hawaii and spent a lot of time surfing the North Shore. These days I still ride a surfboard - but get a little help from the kite. The Finger Lakes are a great location for learning to kite because the shorelines are very shallow and the steep slopes tend to groom the winds. Whether your looking for a lesson or are an experienced kiter looking for the scoop, consider us your Finger Lakes resource!
A special thanks to Doug Willard and RochesterWindsports for their support and cover photo.
